Poststructuralist feminist theory is often called "French feminism", especially as one of the most widely-used English-language sources is titled New French Feminisms (Amherst : University of Massachusetts Press, 1980). However, at this site you will see one French feminist's claim that this version of feminist theory is far from widely accepted among feminists in France, and that many genuinely French feminists find it as dangerous and cooptive of feminism as I do.

Here is a run-down of the different types of feminist theory, as described on a feminist theory newsgroup for the benefit of its own participants. If all this is very new to you, keep in mind that what this paper is about--aside from being an apologia for my own behavior--is a conflict between radical feminism and poststructuralist feminism.
